Spiti Daniel is situated in the beautiful mediaeval hilltop village of
Pyrgos. It originally served as an old winery and mill complex and dates
back to the early 18th century. This villa has been lovingly restored
and converted into a simple but very stylish summer retreat. A team of
local artisans, using traditional techniques and materials were
responsible for creating this ‘modern’ Santorini home.
The accommodation consists of 4 double bedrooms all of which are
en-suite and air-conditioned. The bathrooms are spacious and incorporate
traditional stone wash basins and modern ‘Grohe’ showers.
There is a separate living room with a seating alcove with stone
banquette, which was once a wine pressing area. The area is furnished
with a mixture of modern and traditional furniture and fabrics. The
living area connects to the dinning area and kitchen via a curved stone
stairway. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern amenities
including a dishwasher and microwave.
The floors throughout the villa are traditional polished cement and
are covered with beautiful Turkish rugs and flokatis. Decorative
hand-made cushions were made by a local designer and are used throughout
the villa, complimenting each room.
Two enclosed courtyards ensure privacy. The upper courtyard
incorporates a large heated outdoor Jacuzzi, whilst the lower terrace
provides ample space for outdoor dinning. There are four further
terraces with spectacular 280 degree views to the North West and north
east of the island, which boasts spectacular views of the Caldera,
volcano, Fira, Imerovigli, Oia and the whole eastern coast from Kamari.
On clear days it is possible to view 14 of the surrounding islands.
Spectacular sunsets are pretty much guaranteed every evening!
This luxury villa is the perfect destination to for fill all your
expectations of a perfect holiday on the beautiful island of Santorini.
