Set amidst towering palm trees and vibrantly-hued tropical flowers and foliage, one of America's leading entrepreneurs created his modern-day vision of the quintessential Polynesian village. The Estate is exquisitely decorated in an aesthetically pleasing combination of elegantly crafted Balinese rattans, Chinese and Japanese antiques and Hawaiian period furnishings to produce a kingdom worthy of Pacific island royalty.
Sprawling green grass lawns greet sapphire blue waters at a sandy beach cove framed by an ancient Chinese banyan tree. Off-shore reefs protect the coastline of East Oahu including Kailua-Lanikai, which is decorated with miles and miles of golden sand beaches. Reminiscent of enchanting Bora Bora, the clear, calm, warm, and shallow lagoon is perfect for swimming, boating, windsurfing and kayaking. Off-shore, the picturesque Mokulua Islands are illuminated by glittering morning sunrises, brilliant blue skies, and puffy white clouds.
This home is truly a paradise environment for a very special holiday. Within your own private resort-like compound are private sunning areas, a heated swimming pool with cascading waterfall, a pool cabana with hot tub spa, a Japanese style deep-soaking furo bath in an Asian styled bath house, sauna, koi pond, and high speed wireless internet service.
Many guests hire a private chef and butler to recreate the luxury of room service. As the property has as many as three kitchens, food and drinks are prepared in a location conveniently spaced apart from wherever you may be relaxing, and then brought to you on a silver tray with a big aloha smile.
The Paul Linakhu Estate is an acclaimed hide-a-way where entertainment industry notables have vacationed with exclusive privacy and security.

An assortment of seven pavilions and dwellings are architecturally unified by gracefully rounded stucco walls with Indonesian ironwood roof shakes, stately solid ohia log posts, and hand-woven grass fabric ceilings. Flagstone, polished marble, glistening granite, and oiled rare tropical hardwoods are generously employed throughout. High ceilings, fans, and floor to ceiling retracting glass walls combine with fresh trade winds to provide natural cooling.
On the beach side, in the center of the estate is the two story main living pavilion with living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two private bathrooms, and one half bath. To the side and a few feet apart, also facing the beach and ocean, is the Boat House suite with an upstairs bedroom, bathroom, and living area with panoramic views. Connected to the Boat House via a covered walkway is the second living room, dining area, and kitchen, which in turn is connected to two side by side bedrooms. A few feet away from the bedrooms, under another covered walkway is the charming Japanese bathhouse pavilion with koi pond, sauna, shower, and deep soaking furo bath. Across the entry courtyard and above the carriage house are two bedrooms which share a common living area and third kitchen. In the opposite direction towards the gated entry is a large pool pavilion.
